The Sky has not fallen

The loud and very public peace talks that were launched 9 months ago have ended in a whimper 9 months later.
Big surprise indeed!
The writer of these lines repeatedly said that there was 0 chance of any breakthrough.
Such a vast waste of time and effort on a fruitless pointless process that has been going nowhere for a very long time.
There cannot be and there never will be a two state solution.
It is an impossibility and has been for some time.
April 29th has come and gone and the Sky has not fallen.
Israel now needs to take the initiative and annex parts of Judea and Samaria.
Those parts where most of the Jewish residents live.
Offering Israeli citizenship to Arabs living in these areas.
There is a massive housing shortage that could be alleviated if a massive building initiative was launched in Judea and Samaria.
There should be emphasis on bettering the life of Arabs living in the new expanded Israel.
Better school systems, better infrastructure.
They deserve better than what they have not been given by a corrupt Palestinian authority. --

It's dead fella's , now what?

The completely predictable collapse of talks has finally come.
No one really sane or sensible could have really believed that a deal could be achieved.
It will not happen in my lifetime that seems certain.
After all the Arab side refuses to really accept the historical fact of the rebirth of the Jewish people in its ancestral homeland.
It is more than likely that they will never accept a Jewish presence here.
The direction that has been taken over the last 20 years has been dead wrong in many ways.
It has given false hope of a " solution " to a problem that has no solution.
The Arab side continues to demand a return to pre 67 borders with out anything in return.
There will be no government in Israel that will forcibly remove over 600,000 Jewish " settelers " from Judea and Samaria.
It cannot happen and will not happen.
This charade of trying to reach a compromise with a group of people that define themselves by their continued struggle against Israel needs to stop.
There will NOT be a two state solution as the other side does not really want that as a solution.
They are interested in a old model.
A final solution.
Israel will not let this happen this time around.

Killing a dead horse

It seems astounding how supposedly intelligent people can continue to waste time and effort in trying to do the impossible.
The talks between the Israelis and so called Palestinians have reached a dead end.
The April 29 deadline is fast approaching and there will not be any breakthrough.
Nonetheless the talks continue at trying to reach a understanding.
This understanding is just to try to continue the talks!
Not any " deal ", just a agreement to continue to negotiate.
The Arab side has made many threats as to what it plans if the talks completely break down.
They have threatened so many times it is very confusing to decide which threat is credible and which is not.
No one has heard from Prime Minister Netanyahu what he plans to do if the talks come to a halt.
The truth needs to be said.
He does not know what to do.
What is likely to happen is the continuation of the present status quo for the time being.
If the Arab side decides to try to gain full acceptance in the United Nations and to drag Israel to the international court in Hague then Israel likely will also take dramatic steps.
The steps Israel has at its disposal are limited though powerful.
The logical step is the annexation of parts of Judea and Samaria.
This will grant citizenship to another 80,000 Arabs while significantly enlarging the Area of Israel from a legal point of view.
The Arab side is clearly waiting for a better " deal " if the Labor party comes to power again.
All the evidence points to a " deal " never being reached no matter who is in power in Israel.
Both the Right, Left and Centrist parties have been in power at different times and not succeeded in closing any deals.
Nobody is really quite sure what is to happen now.
IT WON'T BE PRETTY

The failed peace process

It seems evidently clear to anyone with some touch with reality. The attempt to reach a deal in the US brokered peace process between the Israelis and so called Palestinians has failed.
The New York times says, John Macain has said it directly to John Kerry and everyone knows it.
But it goes on.
Well sort of...
The leader of the Palestinians Abu Mazen has said that there has not been any progress in th elast nine months.
What has Mr. Kerry been doing all this time??
His failed policies have brought false hope to many of a two state solution which will never happen, never.
Time for a reality check.
The worst is yet to come.

When dead is dead: the peace process

It was so predictable, it was so clear. The wasted efforts of the United States to bring a peace agreement between the Israelis and the Palestinians. I use the term Palestinians very loosely to describe those Arabs living in Judea and Samaria that are negotiating with Israel.
The negotiations have hit a brick wall and some fail to recognize or admit to this reality.
They are afraid of repercussions in wake of the failure of these negotiations.
Reality needs to be looked squarely in face and dealt with.
Israel needs now to take concrete steps to counter unilateral steps taken by the other side.
Some that come to mind immediately.
1. Immediate cessation of any funds delivered to the Palestinian Authority
2. Denial of passage of political leaders of the authority in any part of Israel
3. First steps to annex parts of Judea and Samaria where most of the settlers live
4. Massive building push in all areas of Judea and Samaria
5. Retaking of Northen towns that were destroyed during former prime minister Sharons perfidious actions
6. public statement of the Israeli prime minister to the world of the reasons for all these actions
These steps will start to right the ship in terms of the national security of Israel and start to stop the notion of a Palestinian state.
Enough is enough.

Worst Nighmare

Every ones worst nightmare is getting a call that a parent has been rushed to the emergency room.
I received that call a few days ago that my mother had fallen in her house and needed to be taken to the hospital in an
ambulance.
Thoughts race through your head that terrify.
My brother attempted to calm me by saying that the injury was messy but not serious.
I nonetheless immediately drove to the emergency room in the terrified try to be optimistic mode.
My mothers head was heavily bandaged and one of her eyes was completely shut from the swelling.
I kneeled at her wheel chair and started crying as her appearance was worse than her actual condition.
As it turned out she was released from the hospital a few minutes later and is back at home now.
It was a very scary moment that I wish to avoid going forward.

Its Over

The farce that was called a peace process is over.
There was never any real hope for its success and so predictably it is over.
The Arab side demands things that are impossible from an Israeli piont of view. Something clearly that no Israeli leader could ever agree to.
It is not completely clear what will be next.
It is likey that the worst is yet to come though.
It won't be pretty.

My law suit

I am doing something that I thought I may never do.
Suing a high tech company.
The story is quite bizarre actually.
About a year ago I applied to a company in Haifa as a Internet Marketer.
Till then it was perfectly normal story.
Till I received a e-mail which said that he would not hire anyone from the " occupied territories " even if his name was Bill Gates.
This nice man was clearly discriminating based on ideology.
He clearly broke the law and now he is being sued.
The story is so crazy that it became a news item on a popular Israeli talk show.
I think my discriminating friend should start worrying.
