The theater of the absurd

The security council voted against setting a time table for Israel to relinquish control over Judea and Smaria by 2017.
The resolution did not pass as it needed 9 members to vote for it, it received eight votes and the US did not have to use its veto to annul the vote.
The whole process is absurd for the following reasons.
There is no real Palestinian state and there never will be one.
Even if the vote passed somehow it would have rejected by the Hamas, Jihad, Isil and others.
Even if the vote passed Israel could not and would not have accepted the outcome.
Besides the Palestinians have proved over and over that they just want to go through the motions of negotiation and never really reach any conclusions.
The process here is important.
Reaching any conclusion is an anathema to the Arabs.
They do not and will not accept a Jewish presence in the land of Israel.
There will never be a Palestinian state for so many reasons.
That does not stop the whole world from talking about a 2 state solution.
This conflict is unsolvable.
It is containable.
Constantly talking about something that will never happen is not helpful.
It is the theater of the absurd.

The Palestinian State

The Palestinians are about to go the security council and resolution calling for a Israels complete withdrawal from all lands liberated 1967.
They have given this 3 years.
Meaning if the resolution passes Israel will have till the end of 2017 to remove about 700,000 Israeli settlers from vast areas that they live today.
Everyone understands that this cannot happen under any Israeli government in any way.
It is a continuance of the diplomatic war of attrition being waged at Israel at this time.
As European countries continue to recognize Palestine (where ever that is) the pressure on Israel will certainly mount on a number of fronts.
Israel needs to declare parts of Judea and Samaria as part of its territory as a first step.
Those areas close to Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv need to be annexed immediately!
The Arabs who live in those areas should be offered Israeli citizenship if they so wish.
They should be provided with money and infrastructure to better their communities.
There has to be a firm Israeli reaction to the actions of the Israeli Arabs er sorry Palestinians.
It has gotten to far

Pure evil

A 11 year old girl was severely burned by youths near her home a few days ago.
The human being who can almost burn to death a small girl should be destroyed.
This is pure evil and it must be eradicated.
Knowing that this may be difficult to do the army and country should exile the family and destroy its house.
A new Jewish town should be built where this family lived to send a strong message that evil and outrage will not pay.
These youths were arrested and are under investigation right now.
They face an uncertain future as some may try to claim lenience for them based on their youth.
One can hope that they are being treated as badly as possible as they are cowards who have caused an innocent little girl unimaginable suffering.
Their is nothing unethical in this extreme case of mistreating these cowards.
If torture on some level was an option it should be used in this instance.
They should be taken to witness the destruction of their homes and deportation of their families.
They should be placed in jail with stronger more violent inmates in the hope that they will be mistreated.
They are pure evil.
They need to suffer and die.

A tinderbox waiting to explode

There has been a violentt incident along the border between Israel and the Hamas.
A Hamas terrorist is to been have killed and likely some sort of Israeli casualties that have not been reported yet.
The Hamas is not really ready yet for a new round of fighting as it rebuilds its tunnel infrastructure.
That does not mean things will stay quiet, it just means war now is less likely.
The Hamas is not getting what it wants and what it promised its people after the last war.
The drop in oil revenue has hindered the ability of Arab countries with coming through on promises made to the Hamas.
The harsh winter is making the recovery efforts of the Hamas look ridiculous.
A battle or even war with Israel will deflect internal problems.
Its just a matter of time until all hell breaks loose again.
Probably not today but soon.
It is now being reported that someone probably an Israeli soldier has been wounded or killed in this incident.
War is hell.

Israel gas reserves

Israel has discovered gas of its coast, that's the good news.
The bad news is that the group that has invested his money in a very risky enterprise is being punished.
It is inconceivable that the person or people that has invested his money to find the gas id being stabbed in the back.
Yitchak Tesuvah deserves to benefit on the gamble he took to look for the gas.
After it was found to show him the door will endanger future searches for oil or gas.
This ruling that will not let those who found the gas to make money is counterproductive to future investment.
It is hard to escape the feeling that populist sentiments are behind this ruling.
Destroying free enterprise and discouraging fresh investors to invest in Israels natural resources.
The bottom line is that those who spent the money deserve to make the big money.
Taking away the lure of profits from future investors will doom future investments.
Its Israels gas but Tsuvah found it.

Israeli elections, Palestinian statehood, what a mess!

The Palestinians or at least that what they call themselves seek a state so they claim.
They are trying to push through the security council a resolution that will force Israel to go back to the lines of the pre 1967 six day war.
The deadline for this is unclear either 2016 or 2017.
Both deadlines are bogus as all know that they cannot and will not be met.
It is a game that is being played and that will allow the officials of the authority to continue thing willo travel the world and live lavish lifestyles.
Nothing will come out of all this as no government can ever agree to the displacement of 700,000 people from Judea Samaria and East Jerusalem.
Their insistence of the Arabs to never recognize a Jewish state and ask for things that they will never receive is a strategic move.
The long term plan is to weaken the resolve of Israel and then destroy it.
This will not work but they keep on trying.
Its all about destroying Israel slowly.
It will not work.
Different methods have been tried in the last 100 years.
This method will not work either.
The Arabs do not get it really.
What a waste of time and energy!

Russia the Ruble and all the rest

Currency crisis in Russia will have effect on the world, all will be effected.
It is difficult to see how Russia will extricate itself from this current crisis as the core issues fueling this crisis are not changing soon.
How will this effect Wall street?
In the short term their will be jitters as all major events of the world cause jitters on American markets.
Long term this might even prop up markets in the US.
Here is how.
Unstable assets will be liquefied and sent to a safer investment atmosphere.
Wall street which already has been seeing a influx of money around world will see European and Russian money.
Just think about it.
The Ruble is collapsing because people are buying dollars.
Where are those dollars supposed to go?
There is only one place for them to go and that is Wall street.
So capitalism and macro economics dictates the money of the world.
Great time to get into market now.
Money is to be made.
Have fun.

Spreading like a cancer

The sick perverted extreme jihadist movement is sweeping across the world.
The latest manifestation is the hostage crisis in a coffee shop in Sydney Australia.
The outcome of this crisis remains unclear as it is ongoing.
What is clear is the slow progression of a violent extreme religiously fueled movement that seeks world domination.
Stopping this movement is very difficult as it is grassroots in many ways.
The success of the Islamic state seems to have captured the hearts and minds of many people in the world whose lives are going no where.
If this siege ends with hostages killed there will be copycat acts around the world.
This problem will not go away if simply disregarded.
It is intensifying and will continue to do so.
The United States correctly seeks to destroy this group.
The only problem is that without overwhelming force this will not happen.
The US and its allies need to understand the enormity of the problem and what is happening in front of our eyes.
This movement needs to be destroyed and now.
A coalition of countries needs to take the fight to these fanatics and destroy it.
There is no other way.

Here we go again ( maybe)

It does not take much to ignite riots and even another intifada in Judea Samaria and Jerusalem.
A minister in the so called Palestinian government has died of an apparent heart attack during a violent demonstration with Israeli soldiers in Samaria.
He can be seen sitting down apparently in the middle of a heart attack after a confrontation with the IDF.
The Palestinian authority has apparently suspended or is threatening to suspend security coordination with Israel as a result of this death.
In addition they have announced a three day mourning period.
This might be the spark that will start the Intifada all are talking about.
The Arab Palestinians could not pick a better time for this as Israels leadership is embroiled in a bitter political fight leading up to elections in three months.
The coming hours and funeral for Ziad Abu Ein will be an indicator if this is the spark that will let all hell loose.
This comes as a backdrop to a showdown at the UN over a resolution demanding Israel withdraw completely to pre 67 lines in 23 months.
The very worst is yet to come.

Democratic nightmare

Having a real democracy has its advantages of course.
Free enterprise.
Independent judiciary.
The list goes on.
There are drawbacks when so many parties vie for leadership and seem to despise each other.
The Israeli democratic model is not doing well.
It is so complicated that a thick book might be needed to explain its intricacies.
The main point of contention seems to hinge on the Jewish character of the country.
All the other issues seem to to stem from the stance on "how Jewish should it be?".
Settlements land swaps and all other foreign policy decisions are part of this grand constant difference of opinion.
The left in Israel cannot and will not comprehend that in essence their is no real peace partner.
Their insistence on trying to restart peace negotiations make most Israelis think that they have lost touch with reality.
They have.
The Right wing for its part has no real plan for the future (at least the main right wing party) for the future as the Palestinians have decided to establish a state unilaterally.
This is also disconcerting for many.
The day after the elections will be more confusing than the confusion now.
What a mess!!

Here we go again

New elections in Israel, its really a bit much.
There is so much fragmentation in the political arena in Israel that elections seem to happen all the time.
The main problem is the frustration of center left parties that Israelis seem to be continuing to go to the right wing.
This right wing move is not in one party but rather in smaller parties that end up creating a weak coalition.
Then when push comes to shove this weakness becomes acute and the government falls.
The center left will likely lose more seats in the upcoming elections making the frustration even greater.
Someone once said that the hardest job in the world must be being the prime minister of Israel.
Its even harder that that.

The new deadline

The Palestinians are doing it again.
Jordan on behalf of the Palestinians will put forward a resolution for a Palestinian state on all territory captured by Israel in the six-day war.
There will be a clear timetable for this, November 2016.
This is a mere 23 months away.
Where are all the Jews from Judea Samaria and east Jerusalem to go in 23 months?
There are about 650,000 Jews in those areas, does anyone care?
The truth is that those Jews are not going anywhere and everyone knows it.
It is a game that all are playing a very dangerous game indeed.
In the next 23 months there will be probably another 100,000 Jews in these areas.
Conventional wars have not had the desired effect so diplomatic wars are being tried.
It is difficult to gauge what might happen as this date gets closer.
Some possibilities.
The US will stop funding the Palestinian authority which will result in almost complete collapse.
They may get some Arab backing to shore them up for a bit but history has shown that these pledges are not consistent.
Israel will be ostracized by some of the world and have some economic stress.
This will dissipate as Jews around the world will rally for Israel as in other crisis.
By that time parts of Judea and Samaria will be officially annexed to Israel as Jerusalem was and the Golan Heights.
It's going to get very ugly indeed

It's been fiveyears

Hard to believe that I lost my father five years ago.
The pain is still there and the longing.
My father was a man who beat the odds, who survived where others did not.
His grit and tenacity to overcome was extrordinary
He was determined to take care of his family and provide what it needed.
He did not own many things as to many would have cluttered up his life.
he believed in Jewish destiny and the return of the Jewish people to the land of Israel was a gift from Hashem.
He loved Israeli soldiers and especially Yeshivah students who served in the army.
He loathed those that would hurt Jews and humiliate them.
He was above else a proud Jew with great love for the land and those who risked their lives to defend Jews.
I will forever be inspired for the gifts he gave me.
Its been five years.

Whats in store in the Middle East

Things are not looking to well I must say.
Iranian nuclear talks have become bogged down and are not close to a resolution.
The Iranians know that Obama will not attack at a time where the focus has become the Islamic state.
For Obama the absurdity of fighting two wars with mutual bitter enemies is not lost.
The Islamic state is the best thing to happen to the Iranian nuclear program, it is giving them breathing room.
The Islamic State is also making ground on a few fronts.
Notably near Jordan and near Israels border.
Jordans king is very worried and is more than hinting that American ground troops are needed to stem the tide.
Israel's northern border make come alive soon with the Islamic state taking over area adjacent to Israel in the Golan heights.
Everybody will be trying to kill everybody very soon.
Quite a mess indeed.
If the US decides to send ground troops to defend Jordan and Israel attacks the Islamic state in the Golan the world will be involved actively in a regional war that may turn into a world war.
Things are about to really get ugly.
The worst is yet to come.

Fear on the streets of Jerusalem and elsewhere

It is real.
People are scared and for good reason.
Arabs in all parts of the country have been attacking Jews and killing them.
Its that simple.
The racial profile here is very clear, 100% of the people behind the attacks are Arabs.
A democracy is mostly paralyzed when dealing with problems of this kind.
The mayor of Ashkelon has fired or is trying to fire all Arabs working near kindergartens in his city.
He has been met with extreme criticism and will probably be forced by law to change his mind or face prosecution.
This is not racism rather extreme measures in a very extreme situation.
Those who are against his intended policies would be very nervous to put there own children in dangers way.
They feel democracy is more important than the safety of children.
It is easy to see why a next target might be a kindergarten as these criminals seek to shake Israel up as much as possible.
If Jewish mothers are fearful for their children then some Arabs who truly want nothing to do with terror will suffer.
In war innocents suffer, that's just the way it is.
Very unfortunate.
When there can be a armed guard at every kindergarten who is trained to stop terror attacks then Arabs can work nearby.
Till then small children should not be put in danger

Pure evil

Those who wish to destroy the Jewish people have used many tactics.
The best and simplest one seems to be just finding vulnerable Jews and killing them.
The basic approach.
Though there has been numerous heinous terrorist attacks in the last one hundred years in Israel or then Palestine, the latest one is on a different level it seems.
The cold blooded murder and hacking off of body parts of worshipers seems to defy any basic norm of humanity.
It seems that the Islamic states influence has taken hold of local terrorists.
They entered the synagogue with meat cleavers and were acting out Islamic state practices.
Israel is not doing to much and is limited with what it can do to counter these cowardly acts.
The houses of these criminals will be destroyed but it is unlikely that this will slow down the attacks.
There are things that would help the situation but are complicated because of the democratic nature of Israel.
1. Destroying houses faster than now so there will be a direct cause and effect to actions of this kind.
2. deportation of immediate and not so immediate family of perpetrators of these crimes
3. A new settlement or building expansion for every terrorist attack
4. Stoppage of social security payments to immediate family members of the criminals
5. no returning of bodies for burial to next of kin
6. placement of bodies in pig skin
This problem will not go away and will worsen.
Israel will be forced to take drastic steps to survive.
The worst is yet to come.

Iran the bomb and all the rest

President Obama will soon be faced with a grim choice as Iranian nuclear talks predictibly have bogged down.
Using military force is the last thing he wants to do as he has committed to scaling down the use of the American military everywhere.
If he does not force Irans hand then Israel will be forced to do so.
Even the imminent threat of Israels military action complicates things while Obama attempts to strengthen his coalition against the Islamic state.
What makes matters even more Iran and the Islamic state are mortal enemies.
That would mean weakening Iran strengthens the Islamic state.
Obama understands that both are insane Islamic fundamentalists that would use the bomb on the US Israel and Europe.
While this is going on the Islamic State is still making headway and does not seem to be on the run due to American bombing raids.
The Islamic state wants very much that US troops engage them in the field of battle.
Everyone understands that US POWs would be publicly executed as the Islamic State has done to other Americans and British.
Obama also understands that without ground troops the Islamic State cannot be beaten but loathes as the thought of Americans being executed on Youtube video.
He will have little choice as US troops will need to be on the ground at some point.
He would rather be playing golf.
He may be unsure on what to do.
That is scary

A Jew has been stabbed in Antwerp

A Jew was stabbed in the neck Saturday morning in Belgium in the latest of anti-semitic incidents in Europe.
Jews have been told not to walk around Europe with skull caps or other clear Jewish markings.
There have been thousands of these type of incidents in the last few years and the trend is only increasing.
Its a bit pathetic to see Belgium police protecting a synagogue while Ultra-Orthodox Jews look on.
It is likely that many of these Jews would prefer to move to Israel ( not all ) but are stuck there for different reasons.
To see Jewish blood spilled on European soil once again is difficult to deal with.
The generation of holocaust survivors cringe at the thought of cowardly acts of this kind.
There really is only one solution to this problem and that is these Jews and others must come home.
They must make plans to move to Israel.
There is no other way.
May we merit to see those Belgium Jews coming back here.

They keep on trying

Since the first wave of Aliya to then Palestine the local Arabs and others have been trying every way to stop the return of Jews to their ancestral homeland.
This has taken many forms but the usual way was to try to just plain kill Jews.
The most famous of these pogroms happened in the city of Hebron in 1929 where 67 Jews were killed and many more wounded.
Interestingly enough the motive believed to be behind this violence was the rumor that the Jews were about to attack the Al- Aksa mosque.
Sound familiar?
Then there was little protection then as even the first Jewish militias were in their infancy.
After those failed attempts to scare Jews from arriving full out wars ensued.
!948 war of independence
1956 Sinai campaign
1967 Six day war
!973 Yom Kippur war
1982 Peace for Galilee war
2006 Lebanon war
2008 Gaza war
2014 Gaza war
There have been countless intifadas or armed insurrections.
It looks like we are in the midst of new insurrection.
There is nothing really new about what is going on now. The Jews are the Jews and the Arabs are Arabs and the sea is the same sea. Those who fear that the Arabs want to push the Jews into the sea are not paranoid.
This is the brutal reality.
It will only get worse.
What should be done?
There needs to be emergency measures taken immediately.
Any man woman or child who breaks the law by throwing a rock or worse needs to be deported with entire family .
This needs to be done swiftly after incident occurs.
Homes of terrorists need to be destroyed in greater numbers.
Massive building projects need to be implemented to increase the Jewish presence in Jerusalem. The temple mount needs to be closed until the queit returns. There has to be a system created for Jewish prayer on the Temple Mount. The more things change the more they stay the same.
The world looks to see how we handle this.
The violence of Islam is threatening the world.
It is time to deal with it head on.

Terror War

Call it intifada or terror war it does not matter.
Israel is now in a war on its citizens everywhere.
It does not matter where you are whether Jerusalem, Tel-Aviv or Judea and Samaria.
Being Jewish is reason enough to be targeted and killed.
There are those that blame Israel for not adhering to human rights in Israel and Judea and Samaria.
Some of these allegations have substance but no one asks why adherence endangers lives.
The only reason there are inconsistencies in this area is because of security concerns.
Life or death concerns.
Entire families of terrorists should be expelled, extreme measures are needed.
Alas a democratic free country has much difficulty dealing with terror.
This powder keg is ready to explode.

Here we go again

If it sounds like an intifada and it looks like a intifada and even smells like a intifada ( burning tires and molotov cocktails) then it must be a intifada!
Everyone is asking is this a new insurrection of the Arabs in greater Israel and Judea Samaria?
The truth is that we have been in a insurrection for about 100 years now with short intervals of some quiet.
So it basically meaningless how we define the present situation.
Many Arabs involved in these riots have not internalized that Israel is here to stay.
They believe that Israel is a passing fad that will disappear shortly to make way for the great state of Palestine.
This is what they are taught and what they hear.
It is just a matter of time before the spoiled Israelis will get tired of all the craziness here and just move to Berlin
Some have actually done so in fact!
They do understand that there still is a core ideological base of Jews who live here but think that is not enough to deal with the challenges that face Israel.
They are clearly right in the sense that many are tired of the constant trouble and would leave if they could.
But they are wrong in their conclusions.
There still is enough Jews here who will fight and sacrifice all to be part of the prophesy of the return of the Jewish people to the land of Israel.
Yes it is true that Israelis are moving to Berlin but many more Jews are making Aliyah and moving to Judea and Samaria.
We have come to stay and no power in the world can change that.
It cannot happen.

It happened again

Three Israeli soldiers were injured, one seriously in a terrorist hit and run attack yesterday near the Eztion bloc Judea, Israel.
Those who wish to see us leave the land of Israel have found a new method to injure kill and leave the scene of the crime quickly.
This hit and run terror is working and has turned Jerusalem into a war zone.
Extreme measures need to be taken that include roadblocks at the entrance to Arab neighborhoods and checking every single car that leaves a Arab area.
The immediate closure of the temple mount to all visitors until a proper system is devised to guarantee Jewish prayer.
There needs to built a structure that will house a "minyan" or quarom of Jews praying three times a day .
This of course needs to be done in accordance with Jewish law, but needs to be done.
Three times a day there should be at least ten Jews praying as representatives of the entire Jewish people.
The wailing wall is the wall of the temple and the temple mount is one step above in its holiness and significance.
The Arab world will not calm down whether Jews pray on the temple mount or not.
For Israel not to allow prayer on the Temple mount is terrorist extortion that no one should accept.
The worst is yet to come...

War in the streets of Jerusalem

Another terrorist attack has occurred in Jerusalem.
A van has deliberately run over pedestrians killing one and seriously injuring others
The new weapon of the terrorists is the moving automobile and it seems there is little to be done to thwart this type of attack.
The head of internal security has said that terror acts of this kind are impossible to stop.
Well that is terrific!
If he feels this way then he should resign and let someone else can try to address the problem.
This new war is on the streets of Jerusalem and aimed at anyone Jewish who lives there.
While Israel is being accused of disproportional use of force in the last war the world is witnessing Jewish blood being spilled.
The leaders of the PLO and Hamas have been fanning the flames of this latest war with statements supporting the "heroism" of these murderers.
The outside world should understand that all the terrorist tactics always started here in Israel and then when successful were exported to the rest of the world.
May the g-d of Israel avenge the blood of those who were killed in the sanctification of his name and may we see very soon the in gathering of the Jewish people to Jerusalem.

Obama in trouble

American voters have had it.
The lower income section of voters have called Obamas bluff.
Incredibly enough those opposed to Obamas reelection have done well in the past 2 years.
The stock market has soared making the rich even richer.
This has come because of fundamental deep problems in the American economy. One in five Americans are on food stamps, an unprecedented figure.
The rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer.
The poor decided Obamas policies are not working and have elected Republicans to control the senate and congress.
There are others clearly who also think that Obamas understanding of foreign affairs is lacking.
This has placed the United States in difficult positions around the world.
Clearly Obama would lose a presidential bid now.
Romney could win in two years from now.
Can he muster the character needed to try again?
Many hope so.

Tragedy in Jerusalem

A tragedy of historical significance has occurred in Jerusalem last night with the assassination attempt of Rabbi Yehudah Glick by a would be assassin.
Rabbis Glicks only crime was and has been his unrelenting demand that Jews be allowed to pray at the holiest place to Jews in the world.
The Temple Mount.
This is where both temples stood and where all the prayers of Jews worldwide are directed.
The only place in the world that a Jew is not allowed to pray is the place that is most holy to the Jews.
There is only one place that is considered holy to the Jewish people and that is the place that the holy temples stood.
This situation cannot continue as is.
All people whether Jew or gentile must demand from their representatives or whoever has any influence that this outrage must cease. This crime and subsequent apparent elimination of the would be assassin may restart the Intifada or Arab rioting in Jerusalem and elsewhere.
The now hollow statement by then commander Motta Gur of the IDF that "the temple mount is in our hands" is especially difficult to deal with now.
The main reason Jews are not allowed to pray on the temple mount is the fear and threats of local Arabs and non local ones.
This is supposed to keep things calm in the short and long term.
The problem with blackmail and extortion is the price always goes up.
The price has gone up as Rabbi Glick is in very serious condition at a Jerusalem hospital.
Extreme Islam is threatening the entire world with violence.
It must be stopped and the temple mount is a good place to start.

Is doing nothing a strategy?

Nothing seems to be the best word to describe The peace process between Israel and Palestinians.
Its all about nothing.
Nothing is often hard to sustain especially when everyone has been fed the lie and joke of a two state solution.
It is hard to admit that it is all rubbish and never really had a chance to begin with.
So what the next best option?
Just continue to say two state solution though all realize already that it will never happen.
A true leader says the truth to the world.
But Bibbi is a tactician and knows that it is just lip service at this point.
There has been endless negotiations and endless meetings that have gone nowhere.
Even wars and intifadas that have come and gone.
Why does the Leader of Israel continue to say the mantra of a two state solution?
Because he has nothing better to say.
The next prime minister may say something else I suppose.
Its all very bizarre.

Tuesday, September 30, 2014

Now what?

The Israeli prime minister has told the world that the of the leader of the Palestinian national movement is anti-Semite who denies the Holocaust.
It's hard to see negotiations with someone like that.
There has just been a war in the Gaza strip that does not seem to be restarting so fast.
So what now?
It has become clear that the stark reality is nothing will happen.
Not on the negotiation front at least.
There is not anyone to negotiate with and nothing to negotiate on.
Its all make believe as there never was real negotiations and never will be.
You see the Arabs of greater Israel or Palestinians do not want a state next to Israel, they want a state instead of Israel.
The fact that they demand the uprooting of 600,000 people from their homes in Judea Samaria and Jerusalem which is of course impossible shows that this is all the theater of the absurd.
Their never was a Palestine and never will be one.
Their was never a Palestinian people and never will be.
It's just a big joke.
Very bad joke.

The Palestinian leaders speech at UN

Some were shocked at the severity of the outrageous diatribe of Machmoud Abbas at the United Nations last week.
Others like myself were not.
Those who held out some hope on conciliation with this so called pragmatic leader were shocked back into reality.
He is just another link in the chain of small and big anti-semites that have threatened the Jewish people over the years.
Clearly form his point of view a Jew may not defend himself from attack, he must die or be thrown into the sea.
He has never really changed tactics just sometimes the tone in trying to replace Israel with Palestine.
Incredibly enough the knowledge that this will not happen does not deter leaders like Abbas from continuing.
What he is doing and will continue to do is to perpetuate the conflict.
He knows full well that Israel cannot and will not return to the pre 1967 borders.
He knows full well that it is impossible to relocate over 600,000 people from their homes in Judea and Samaria.
He also knows that there will never be a Palestinian state.
He does not want one.
He is where exactly he wants to be.
Which is to perpetuate this conflict forever.
He receives a lavish salary and travels the world and nothing moves or will ever move.
It is like a soap opera that really never changes and whenever you return everything is the same.
Israel should annex parts of Judea and Samaria and offer partial citizenship to Arabs living in those areas.
There are many Arabs that have had good relations with the Jewish state and deserve consideration for partial and even full citizenship at some point.
There are those that cannot stop talking about a two state solution.
Its just talk a lot of talk.
To bad that so many people have to suffer.
The new/ old Middle East.

Israel- surrounded on all sides

Those who would say that Israel is surrounded on all sides by its enemies were paranoid.
Peace treaties were signed with Egypt and Jordan.
A new era was at hand, a new middle east.
Those that said that real danger lurked everywhere were ridiculed.
Lets look at the situation right now.
On Israels southern flank there is the Hamas which has been at war with Israel off and on since it took over the Gaza strip.
There had just been a major conflict that has may start again at any time.
In the north there is the Hizbullah that Israel has also been at war intermittingly and another seems likely very soon.
In fact the leader of that organization has said in the last few days that war was imminent and that his organization would even capture parts of the Galilee.
Now to the east is Jordan. That seems safe, right?
Very safe as long as it is not taken over.
The new Islamic Republic has its sites on Jordan.
and Then you know who.
To the west things do not change.
It is the sea where the paranoids fear getting thrown into.
Did I say we are surrounded on all sides?.
The new old Middle East.

England is angry

Now the British have something to fight about.
British subjects are being literately slaughtered and Britain does not like it one bit.
The British went far and wide to seek a fight with the last being in Iraq a few years ago and before that in the Falklands.
It was a long way to go to keep its army up to date, all the way to South America.
Now British citizens are being killed and doggone it the Brits are no going to take it sitting dowm.
The problem is that the enemy is elusive and incredibly ruthless. The Brits and the Americans say they are not intimidated by Isil but clearly are nervous about anyone being captured.
Without ground troops Isil will survive!!
No war was ever won from the air!
A trained army will need to destroy much of the Army of ISIL.
They will find this out very soon.
As soon as the next Brit is executed (that should happen soon) her majesty's forces make really engage Isil.
They are figuring out how to do this right now.
Should be very interesting.

Rosh Hashana the Jewish New Year

Fw have noticed that the cease fire declared after that last war in Gaza is set to expire in a few weeks.
Ostensibly the Hamas has had few real gains from all the efforts in the last war.
They have not had the borders open up more or any other of the demands put forward.
That might mean further rocket attacks into Israel.
Somehow despite the threats this seems unlikely as both sides seem tired of continuing to bomb each other.
apparently Isis has stolen the spotlight from everyone!
Asr they continue to execute westerners no one seems to care that much over developments in the Gaze strip.
That probably the main reason that Hamas will not resume its rocket attacks on Israel.
The red herring in all this that the hatred of the Hamas and Fatah is great, very great.
They would like nothing more than to disrupt the Jewish holiday season that approaches.
So you never know what might happen.
the war does not need to start, it ostensibly never ended

He is a good speaker at least

President Obama says the US and its allies will destroy the Islamic state.
His strategy will not work.
The air strikes have made a difference but that will not be enough.
World jihad is involved here and destroying the Islamic state in one area will make it crop up in another.
This is a World War and its time that the president understood this.
There may be some progress in this regard but clearly things are headed in the wrong direction.
The world jihad is something that is expanding with over a billion Moslems in the world in 30-40 years.
Their destiny they believe is to control the entire world and its resources.
They believe its just a matter of time and that death to its members just hastens that destiny.
The poverty and hopelessness situation where many poor Moslems find themselves is a big factor in this world wide epidemic.
There is no instant solution and some air strikes even American ones will not solve this problem.
The worst is yet to come...

Crazy Moslems

They are not all crazy, just seems that way though.
The Islamic state has taken all this to a different level.
The last person who wanted to ramp up the military was Barack Obama.
He is being challenged like never before and has been seen up till now as a weak indecisive president.
Now he will tell the world his plan, his strategy.
This all bodes well for Israel as it may need to fight Hamas again very soon.
In the atmosphere of war against violent jihad the complete destruction of Hamas may be understood or at least tolerated.
Obama has said that there are no specific threats to the United States but many suspect lone wolfs may attempt to carry out a very big attack that will shock the world.
a major sporting event, a school.
soft targets where many congregate.
The truth is that of there are two or three of these it will rattle the US.
The US clearly would lie to kill the leader of this movement " Abu_Bakr_al-Baghdadi "
When this happens there then may be suicide bombers around the western world.
Hold on to your hats...

So simple

Now the world can recognize the truth that the Palestinians truly do not want a state.
They are interested in just continuing the conflict for ever.
The president of Egypt El-Sisi has offered a large chunk of the Sinai desert next to the Gaza strip for this state.
It would have a large land mass and would be able to incorporate all the Palestinians refugees from around the world.
The United States Europe and even Israel would help build this state and it might be in everyone's benifit.
President Abas has flatly refused this offer.
Why should he refuse?
Because this might end the conflict once and for all.
This he is not interested in doing.
He knows down deep that Israel will never go back to the pre 67 borders.
He is not stupid.
He is interested in the conflict as a goal and not really interested in any real solution.
President Sisi is interested in a solution that weakens the Hamas and brings stability to the Israeli Egyptian border.
Of course this will never happen as the conflict is centered on the destruction of Israel and any solution that does not go in that direction will not be accepted by the Arab side.
Incredibly enough Sisi has shown amazing leadership in this peace initiative.
It is possible that if great pressure is put on Abbas this idea may gain momentum.
It's not a perfect solution but many politicians on the Israeli right would support this model.
What did Mike Tyson say to his opponents before a fight?
No chance.

Crazy middle east

most people seem to be cheering a real butcher as he attacks the Islamic state.
President Assad of Syria has been attacking Isis with some recent success.
People who hate Assad are rooting for his troops to inflict damage on the Islamic state.
someone once said the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
Nato is setting itself to openly go to war with Isis.
President Obama has finally understood that the US has no choice but to fight Isis.
The brutal execution of American citizens has had the opposite effect.
Obama it seems has been angered by the hideous brutality of these executions.
Meanwhile Isis seems to have lost its invincible aura.
The roll that Isis was on was vital to continue to attract the losers of the world to join its ranks.
The correct strategy is to humiliate these crazed people.
a good way would be to capture the Brit who carried out the executions of the two Americans and may be doing some more very soon.
Getting him alive if possible and showing him to the world would be a great way to shame the organization.
Clearly a hit on the leader of the organization would be great.
The US and Britain are gathering information as we speak to take this man out.
That hit may unleash violence around the globe.
This will be interesting.

Obama in la la land

He did not want this to happen, but it did.
He received a Nobel peace prize for trying to diffuse an extreme Arab world.
He mistakenly thought that solving the Israel/ Arab problem would calm things.
He was wrong, dead wrong. He did try to make things better.
That counts for something I suppose.
WW 3 has started and he has said that there is no clear strategy to fight it.
If the Islamic state wanted to shock the world and rattle Obama, it has done so.
People in the United States are angry, very angry.
Obama is doing nothing or very little.
The Islamic state needs to be wiped out.
They have intimidated the United States. Doing the right thing may not get him another peace prize.
When does he leave the white house?

The world is scared

There seems to be fear if not panic as to the danger posed by the Islamic State.
This new very dangerous group has both instilled fear on the hearts of the worlds leaders and made constant progress in its conquest of territory.
The UK has raised its alert status to its highest and the US is very nervous that something may happen soon. They have spooked the world and will likely strike soon
Nobody knows where.
Just the way the terrorists would like it.
Expect bad things...

The Lull before the storm

Israel has very many enemies. Lets list just a few.
Hamas, Jihad Islami, Hizbullah, Al quida, ISIS, and the list goes on.
These enemies are on all of Israels borders.
The Hamas and Jihad Islami on the southern border. The Hizbullah on the northern border.
ISIS after it takes over Jordan ( which may happen soon ) will face Israel on its eastern border.
When and if this happens Israel will literally be surrounded by its enemies with its back to the sea.
This temporary lull is very misleading to those who really understand what Israel is up against.
Some of these groups hate each other and would stop them from attacking Israel together, for now at least.
In the Arab world treaties are made very quickly when it comes to attacking Israel.
Nonetheless the danger that lurks on all the borders is real and imminent.
Israel is readying itself for worst case scenario.
That would be war on all fronts at the same time.
That would necessitate the entire call up of reserves and possibly even emergency call up of those already let go of army service.
Sadly Israels military is not as feared as it once was.
For the first time troops from the US will be involved as vital American interests will be at stake.
The storm is brewing...
It won't be pretty.

WW 3- Radical Islam

It is here, it is real, it is brutal.
Radical Islam with its varied branches is threatening the world.
Al Qieda, Boko Aram, Jihad islami, Hamas and more.
different names that mean the same thing.
Forcible conversion to Islam or painful death.
These groups are a mixture of a modern day crusade mixed in with extreme Fascism.
This is real and now.
The United States is extremely concerned that the seemingly craziest of the group ISIS is planning to attack the United States.
They will make Al Qida look like a boy scout chapter.
They are worried about Local supporters who will independently attempt mass terrorism.
How difficult would it be to smuggle explosives onto a train or bus or public sporting event.
These are acts waiting to happen and the FBI has little clue how to stop it.
It is very ironic indeed that Europe which has castigated Israel by and large in its fight with radical Islam now is faced with the same problem.
There will be terrorist attacks in Europe and the United States, it is just a matter of time.
Hold on to your hats ladies and gentleman...

Cease fire

Its as official as it gets here in the middle east.
There is a cease fire, for the mean time at least.
The Prime minister in his usual smooth public appearance explained why Israel won this war and why Hamas lost.
The Head of the army looked haggard and shell shocked.
He did not look like a winning general in a war.
He was trying to explain why Israel won this war.
When there is a decisive victory explanations are unnecessary.
Douglass Macarthur did not need to explain why the US defeated Japan in WW2 not did Israel after the six day war.
No one really believes Israel won this conflict.
The way things go here in the middle east is that when Israel does not win decisively that means she has lost.
The Arab world had grown accustomed to massive defeats at the hands of Israel and in the last few conflicts improved greatly.
The Prime minister clearly hinted that negotiations in another month on outstanding issues would go no where.
Israel may not need to wait too long for a new conflict to develop.
This ongoing conflict is like a tinderbox, ready to ignite at any time. All side are preparing for what is next.
It will only get worse.
There is no other way other than retaking the strip and reestablishing Israeli control there.
Leaving the strip unilaterally was the ultimate mistake that has fostered all the bloodshed.
Let no one be fooled by the Israeli government. This conflict is not the end.
It is not even the beginning of the end, at best it is the end of the beginning.

Tuesday, August 26, 2014

Big mistake

It is astounding that the man who made it his mission to defeat terrorism has basically capitulated to the Hamas terrorist organization by agreeing to ta cease fire.
He will say that there is no real other viable option and few would want to risk the lives of so many soldiers but very many here in Israel feel frustrated at the results.
In essence if this cease fire holds up,none have up till now.
The Hamas will be able to start to terrorize once again Israel when it chooses.
This should be a unacceptable situation but it is not.
The Gaza strip as it is called is a biblical part of Israel, Jews have lived there for centuries there is even a famous Rabbi buried in the Jewish cemetery there.
Leaving the area 9 years ago was wrong and has caused so much heartache to so many.
Israel must and eventually will have to retake the strip and settle there Jews once again.
It will happen after mush more bloodshed on both sides.
There are those that still believe it is possible with good will to reach an understanding with the Hamas or the Palestinians.
Many understand that this is impossible.
There are those who wish to relinquish more territory but they are in the minority.
The right wing politicians have gathered strength and will dominate the next elections.
When ever that may happen.
The next war is just a matter of time.

When will this stop

Can Israel allow itself to not sending tens of thousands of students to school in a few days?

Is the strategy of this Ping pong war working?

No one understands what the prime minister is doing or what he is thinking.

This could go on for months...

Monday, August 25, 2014

No end in sight

There does not seem to be any real solution to the current war between Israel ans Islamic extremists in the Gaza strip.
They persist in demanding a sea port and airport that will have no scrutiny whatsoever and release of very dangerous prisoners from Israeli jails.
Israel is reluctant to enter the strip and maybe is hoping that the new Islamic republic will destroy the Hamas from within or that Hamas will run out of ammunition.
What seems to be clear is that a strange sort of routine has developed in this conflict.
Hamas sends rockets mostly to southern cities and occasionally to other places in Israel.
The IDF kills commanders it can locate and then everyone starts all over again.
It is hard to see any real resolution to the current crisis.
The Israel prime minister is seemingly " waiting it out " in some bizarre hope that the crisis will die down by itself.
This may take a while...

Sunday, August 24, 2014

The new war of attrition

This is what Israel wanted to avoid almost at all cost. A war of attrition in the Gaza strip.
No one seems to know the real strategy of the Prime Minister Benjiman Netanyahu.
He claims that his objective is to create a long term cease fire of sorts with the Hamas in the Gaza strip.
It is very unclear how this might be done without destroying the Hamas ability to shoot rockets.
That would mean having the IDF reconquer the Gaza strip, something Netanyahu is loath to do.
That being the case the situation has become a war of attrition, with both sides bombing each other.
The school year is about to start with hundreds of thousands of students within firing range.
This is unprecedented ...

Thursday, August 14, 2014

The cease fire and what lies ahead

Israel is in a difficult position.
It is being attacked by the Hamas and when trying to defend itself is being attacked by many in the world.
A difficult situation indeed! Many civilians in the Gaza strip have been killed in this war as a result of the usage of human shields in Gaza.
Soldiers that are fired upon from anywhere will fire back even if that fire come from a kindergarten or hospital.
No one can expect a soldier to risk his life to comply with unclear ruling of combat in such difficult situations.
Indeed a commission has been set up to check about the alleged atrocities committed by the Israeli army.
There is a zero chance of this commission being objective in its findings and Israel is likely not going to participate in the proceeding.
In a paradoxical way those who think they are saving future victims by threatening the IDF and thereby discouraging it from firing in questionable situations have it all wrong.
They are in fact endangering future non combatants as the Hamas and other terrorist organizations will continue to use human shields as tactics of war.
A loss of life is tragic whether civilian or military.
Children of war seem to be the greatest of victims.
The true criminals would be those seeking to destroy Israel using any means at their disposal.
Those children who are taught hate and death are truly being abused.
That is the ultimate war crime.

War and Peace in the middle east

Israel has been at war off and on for the last 100 years. The riots of 1921 may have been the start of this war that continues to this very day. There have been mini-wars in this period that have brought some respite for a few years. The independence war and the six-day war gave 8 and 7 years of relative calm. But even during those periods there were constant terrorist threats and attacks. The current war is not fundamentally different than the others. It is different as it seems some of the players have more important things on their agenda then destroying Israel. Egypt for one.It is not different as its purpose is to annihilate the Jewish state. There are those in Israel and elsewhere that attempt and still believe in some sort of compromise that will end the wars and bloodshed. The fact remains that with the exception of Egypt and Jordan we are still at war with the Arab world. The fact that Egypt despises some of Israels enemies more than Israel does is nothing short of miraculous. There is no clear solution to this conflict and it will continue to fester for a long time.
Crazy middle east.

Jews are dying on European soil once again

Jews have been murdered on European soil once again.
Some thought that the threat of retrebution from a Jewish State would discourage open acts of violence against Jews,
The more things change apparently the more they stay the same.
Clearly the crime of killing a Jewish couple on the Jewish Sabbath in a Jewish muesueum needs to be dealt with.
It seems that the Belgians do not know how to apprehend the coward who perpretrated this outrage.
Israels intelligence service is highly trained and well informed.
They likely have some leads and have plans to get to the murderers and those who sent him.
This crime is against the state of Israel and the Jewish people.
Those groups need to find those responsible for this act and eliminate them.
Never Again

The Sky has not fallen

The loud and very public peace talks that were launched 9 months ago have ended in a whimper 9 months later.
Big surprise indeed!
The writer of these lines repeatedly said that there was 0 chance of any breakthrough.
Such a vast waste of time and effort on a fruitless pointless process that has been going nowhere for a very long time.
There cannot be and there never will be a two state solution.
It is an impossibility and has been for some time.
April 29th has come and gone and the Sky has not fallen.
Israel now needs to take the initiative and annex parts of Judea and Samaria.
Those parts where most of the Jewish residents live.
Offering Israeli citizenship to Arabs living in these areas.
There is a massive housing shortage that could be alleviated if a massive building initiative was launched in Judea and Samaria.
There should be emphasis on bettering the life of Arabs living in the new expanded Israel.
Better school systems, better infrastructure.
They deserve better than what they have not been given by a corrupt Palestinian authority. --

Saturday, April 26, 2014

It's dead fella's , now what?

The completely predictable collapse of talks has finally come.
No one really sane or sensible could have really believed that a deal could be achieved.
It will not happen in my lifetime that seems certain.
After all the Arab side refuses to really accept the historical fact of the rebirth of the Jewish people in its ancestral homeland.
It is more than likely that they will never accept a Jewish presence here.
The direction that has been taken over the last 20 years has been dead wrong in many ways.
It has given false hope of a " solution " to a problem that has no solution.
The Arab side continues to demand a return to pre 67 borders with out anything in return.
There will be no government in Israel that will forcibly remove over 600,000 Jewish " settelers " from Judea and Samaria.
It cannot happen and will not happen.
This charade of trying to reach a compromise with a group of people that define themselves by their continued struggle against Israel needs to stop.
There will NOT be a two state solution as the other side does not really want that as a solution.
They are interested in a old model.
A final solution.
Israel will not let this happen this time around.

Wednesday, April 23, 2014

Killing a dead horse

It seems astounding how supposedly intelligent people can continue to waste time and effort in trying to do the impossible.
The talks between the Israelis and so called Palestinians have reached a dead end.
The April 29 deadline is fast approaching and there will not be any breakthrough.
Nonetheless the talks continue at trying to reach a understanding.
This understanding is just to try to continue the talks!
Not any " deal ", just a agreement to continue to negotiate.
The Arab side has made many threats as to what it plans if the talks completely break down.
They have threatened so many times it is very confusing to decide which threat is credible and which is not.
No one has heard from Prime Minister Netanyahu what he plans to do if the talks come to a halt.
The truth needs to be said.
He does not know what to do.
What is likely to happen is the continuation of the present status quo for the time being.
If the Arab side decides to try to gain full acceptance in the United Nations and to drag Israel to the international court in Hague then Israel likely will also take dramatic steps.
The steps Israel has at its disposal are limited though powerful.
The logical step is the annexation of parts of Judea and Samaria.
This will grant citizenship to another 80,000 Arabs while significantly enlarging the Area of Israel from a legal point of view.
The Arab side is clearly waiting for a better " deal " if the Labor party comes to power again.
All the evidence points to a " deal " never being reached no matter who is in power in Israel.
Both the Right, Left and Centrist parties have been in power at different times and not succeeded in closing any deals.
Nobody is really quite sure what is to happen now.
IT WON'T BE PRETTY

The failed peace process

It seems evidently clear to anyone with some touch with reality. The attempt to reach a deal in the US brokered peace process between the Israelis and so called Palestinians has failed.
The New York times says, John Macain has said it directly to John Kerry and everyone knows it.
But it goes on.
Well sort of...
The leader of the Palestinians Abu Mazen has said that there has not been any progress in th elast nine months.
What has Mr. Kerry been doing all this time??
His failed policies have brought false hope to many of a two state solution which will never happen, never.
Time for a reality check.
The worst is yet to come.

When dead is dead: the peace process

It was so predictable, it was so clear. The wasted efforts of the United States to bring a peace agreement between the Israelis and the Palestinians. I use the term Palestinians very loosely to describe those Arabs living in Judea and Samaria that are negotiating with Israel.
The negotiations have hit a brick wall and some fail to recognize or admit to this reality.
They are afraid of repercussions in wake of the failure of these negotiations.
Reality needs to be looked squarely in face and dealt with.
Israel needs now to take concrete steps to counter unilateral steps taken by the other side.
Some that come to mind immediately.
1. Immediate cessation of any funds delivered to the Palestinian Authority
2. Denial of passage of political leaders of the authority in any part of Israel
3. First steps to annex parts of Judea and Samaria where most of the settlers live
4. Massive building push in all areas of Judea and Samaria
5. Retaking of Northen towns that were destroyed during former prime minister Sharons perfidious actions
6. public statement of the Israeli prime minister to the world of the reasons for all these actions
These steps will start to right the ship in terms of the national security of Israel and start to stop the notion of a Palestinian state.
Enough is enough.

Worst Nighmare

Every ones worst nightmare is getting a call that a parent has been rushed to the emergency room.
I received that call a few days ago that my mother had fallen in her house and needed to be taken to the hospital in an
ambulance.
Thoughts race through your head that terrify.
My brother attempted to calm me by saying that the injury was messy but not serious.
I nonetheless immediately drove to the emergency room in the terrified try to be optimistic mode.
My mothers head was heavily bandaged and one of her eyes was completely shut from the swelling.
I kneeled at her wheel chair and started crying as her appearance was worse than her actual condition.
As it turned out she was released from the hospital a few minutes later and is back at home now.
It was a very scary moment that I wish to avoid going forward.

Sunday, April 6, 2014

Its Over

The farce that was called a peace process is over.
There was never any real hope for its success and so predictably it is over.
The Arab side demands things that are impossible from an Israeli piont of view. Something clearly that no Israeli leader could ever agree to.
It is not completely clear what will be next.
It is likey that the worst is yet to come though.
It won't be pretty.

My law suit

I am doing something that I thought I may never do.
Suing a high tech company.
The story is quite bizarre actually.
About a year ago I applied to a company in Haifa as a Internet Marketer.
Till then it was perfectly normal story.
Till I received a e-mail which said that he would not hire anyone from the " occupied territories " even if his name was Bill Gates.
This nice man was clearly discriminating based on ideology.
He clearly broke the law and now he is being sued.
The story is so crazy that it became a news item on a popular Israeli talk show.
I think my discriminating friend should start worrying.

The curse of those that participated in Jewish ethnic cleansing

Some will call it coincidence. The fact that almost every major figure involved in the forcible removal of Jews from Gush Katif and Northern Samaria has had a calamity .
Ariel Sharon- the prime minister at the time, massive stroke and eventual death.
Moshe Kazav - The president of Israel at the time, extended jail term for sexual offenses.
Head of Israeli Army- who resigned in embarrassment not long after Israel forced Jews from there homes and a long list of others... And now the prime minister who replaced Sharon and was one of the main proponents of that ethnic cleansing.
Ehud Olmert the former prime minister was convicted of taking bribes and will probably be in jail for at least five years.
There were those who warned that horror and calamity would follow.
They were laughed at and scoffed at.
Those who were happy at the plight of thousands of Jews forced from their homes.
Olmert will have a long time in jail to think about what he has done.
It is unlikely he will see the connection.
To bad.

The Peace Process, Piece by Piece

It is hard to believe that anyone still thinks there is any hope of real progress in the middle east talks brokered by the United States.
On all major issues there has not been even the slightest of movement.
Nothing, Nada, Gorniest, kloom.
What has John Kerry been talking about with Abu Mazen in the thirteen different face to face meetings?
It boggles the mind the amount of time and money wasted on fruitless superfluous meeting.
Does not the American taxpayer deserve some explanation as to the huge expenditures on endless trips to nowhere?
The key issues and fundamental disagreements have stayed the same.
Israel demands a recognition as the Jewish state of the Jewish people and the other side says clearly that will not happen.
The other side demands Israeli withdrawal from all lands captured in the six-day war.
That includes East Jerusalem, the wailing wall and temple mount.
No Israeli government is willing or able to accept such conditions.
As I said in previous blogposts it is all a colossal waste of time and money.
Enough is enough, or should be.

Thursday, March 20, 2014

The Peace Process

Abu Mazen has left Washington and nobody really noticed.
The Obama sponsored and Kerry driven talks are just where they were 9 months ago.
It seems incredible that so much time, energy and money can be spent on completely wasteful talks.
Is it right for the American taxpayer yo foot the bill for so many trips to the Middle East for fruitless meetings?
There will be no two state solution.
It never really had a chance to begin with.
The real question is what is to happen now?
It is likely that a new Arab INTIFADA will envelope the region as the Arab side attempts to gain statehood through international channels.
There will have to be a bold Israeli leader who is willing to make bold moves in the wake of the break down of negotiations.
This leader will need to annex to Israel parts of Judea and Samaria while slowly offering different levels of citizenship to Arabs living there.
There will need to be massive Aliya of Jews from around the world to Judea and Samaria to keep demographics in check.
How many times has Kerry been here in the last 8 months?

Thursday, March 6, 2014

The sound of silence

We hear nothing after the sumit meeting between the Prime Minister of Israel and the President of the United States.
No press conference, no statement, nothing.
We can guess what went on after the press was asked to leave the oval office.
President Obama " this is Israels last chance, you must agree to a Palestinian state on pre 1967 borders including Jerusalem.
The Prime minister says " give me Pollard and recognition of a Jewsih state and I will convince Israelis of all that is needed.
The President says you will get Pollard when Israel signs a piece treaty.
Prime minister " what concessions is Abu Mazen making "??.
John Kerry " he has agreed to non-violence " The prime minister rolls his eyes and the meetimg ends.
All to familiar ending to meetings of this kind.
Now Abu MAzen will sit in the hot seat.
Its all such a waste of time.
The worst is yet to come.

Peace negotiations

The merry go round continues to around.
Prime Minister Netanyahu is about to land in the United States.
He presumably will be presented with a agreement of sorts from John Kerry about a framework agreement.
He will be pressured by Barack Obama to accept a agreement.
It is very hard to understand what type of framework agreement can be presented.
The chief Palastnian negotiater Saab Baarekat has just recently said for the hundreth time that there will be no recognition of Israel as the state of the Jewish people. He reiterated this saying it was " unthinkable ".
Meanwhile there seems to be complete confusion in Washington as to what to now.
There is a clear understanding that the talks will fail as all others have failed before.
As an incredible stroke of bad luck on Obamas and Kerry's part a looming crisis in Ukraine may put the Israeli Palestinian issue on the back burner.
The truth of the matter is that the two state solution is dead and that it was never a real option.
That cold reality is staring to sink in to everybody.
The question is what happens next?
Three possible scenarios
1. The Palestinian athourity resigns and tells israel to " take over " Judea and Samaria.
2. Both Israel and the Palestinains take unilteral steps. The Palestinain steps would be a one sided declartion of independence in all of pre 1967 borders. The Israeli steps would include anexing parts of Judea and Samaria.
3. A third Intifada or uprising of the Palestinians
There may be some variations of some of these scenarios together.
There is Zero chance of any agreement and a slight chance of agreeing to continue to talk for another period of time.
It will be a big mess

Crunch time for John Kerry

The process that just stays as a process is getting to crunch time.
Its practically now or never.
It's like a grand poker game with extremly high stakes.
Everyone here is bluffing.
John Kerry is bluffing that a peace deal is at hand.
It is clearly not.
Benjamin Natanyahu is bluffing when he says he is ready to live side by side with a Palestinian state.
Abu Mazen is bluffing when he says he wants peace and represents the Palestinian people.
It's all a big bluff game as the stakes keep getting higher and higher.
But very soon Kerry will need to show his hand and so will Bibi and Abu Mazen.
Who is the master poker player here?
Netanyahu seems to be the best at this.
Its crunch time.

Zionism and Intermarriage

Israels prime minister has been put in a very embarassing situation with his son Yair dating seriuosly a non Jewish woman from Norway.
As the politiclal leader of Israel he has made it a point of insisting in peace negotitations that Israel be recognized as the Jewish state of the Jewish people.
In his view and many others having a state is critical for survival of the Jewish people.
As he is busy explaining this to the whole world his son is contemplating marrying a non Jew.
Intermarriage is the greatest threat to Jewish people. Benjiman Netanyahu has been saying for some time that Israel is and will continue to be the Jewsih peoples greatest strength.
It is terribly ironic that the son of the prime minister would erode the central mantra of his father.
This has to be a great headache to his father and any other Jews around the world.
Let's hope this relationship falls apart very soon.

Sharon has died while Kerry does not know when to quit

The former Prime Minister of Israel has died, Ariel Sharon has died and few have shed real tears. Very few people came to pay repects to this man of many contridictions.
After the funeral and in the last few days there has been a minor war of attrition between the Hamas and the Israeli army.
These events ar still connected to Sharons travesty of a unilateral pullout from the Gaza Strip over eight years ago.
Any subsequent pullout by the IDF from other strategic areas will result in similiar shellings and bombings of Israel.
Kerry is obsessed with reaching a deal at any cost, reality be damned.
It is a clear dead end that Kerry is facing and all the meetings in the world will not change that stark reality.
His boss President Obama needs some " winning policy " as his presidency seem to be spinning out of control.
The real question is what happens next? When it hits the fan that Kerry has failed as he must, what then? One scenario has not been discussed to much.
As the Arab world deals with crisis after crisis it might grow tired of a problem they created to bother Israel with.
As they see that the palestinians are acting as stubborn ingrates they will wash there hands of the entire problem.
when that happens a solution based on one man one vote in large parts of Judea and samaria may happen.
there may be some demographic changes that include minor land moves.
Kerry is wasting his time and US taxpayer money.

Sharon is dying

The former General and Prime Minister and lets not forget Defense Minister is very close to death. In fact when many of you read this article he will probably be dead.
Incredibly for all the things he has done there will be few shedding a tear when the end comes.
The left will never really forgive him for being instrumental in the building of so many settlements in Judea and Samaria.
The right wing and settler movement despise him for his actions in the forcible removal of Jewish settlements in the Gaza strip in 2005.
His scoffing at critics and predictions of doom if he carried out his ethinic cleansing policy in the Gaza strip became famous.
His pompous attitude to all became his last legacy before he collapsed from a serious of strokes.
It was clear that he was over weight and to many it was a manefistation of his attiude that no one can could tell him what to do or how to live his life.
He will be remembered not as a successful military man but mainly as someone who lied to his constituients and stabbed in the back his most loyal backers.
Few are really upset at his condition except for immediate family and some die hard backers.
Jewish children will remember him as a evil person who caused untold heartache to thousands of settler families.
